Riverwest Federal Credit Union is a multiple common bond credit union, chartered in 1935. For over 77 years, Riverwest served its members who live and/or work in the West Tulsa vicinity by providing exceptional customer service and financial services to meet their needs. By 2012, Riverwest’s membership had grown to over 2,300, with assets of more than $8.7 million. On October 31, 2012, Riverwest began a new chapter by merging with Oklahoma Central Credit Union, which, like Riverwest has a long legacy of “people helping people” – the credit union way of doing business.
Oklahoma Central Credit Union first opened its doors with seven charter members in 1941, and since then has grown to more than 33,000 members, served by nine Tulsa metro locations. Solution-oriented products and services, combined with sound business practices and exemplary member service, are what keep generations of members loyal and attract new ones.
A “Members First” philosophy guides the financial and policy decisions of the Oklahoma Central Board of Directors and its management team.
