Riverwest Federal Credit Union was chartered in 1935 and
has served the needs of its’ members ever since. At
Riverwest FCU you are not a customer or number, you are
more, you are a member. As a member, you a part owner
of your Credit Union. You at the Credit Union’s
Annual Meeting, will elect members to the Board of Directors
which sets the Credit Union’s policies according
to law. You also elect members to the Credit Committee
which supervises the approval of loans.
Your savings accounts are insured to at least $100,000.00
by the National Credit Union Administration, a U. S. Government
agency. With your interest in mind, a Federal Credit
Union Auditor examines the Credit Union each year. In
addition, the Supervisory Committee, appointed by the Board
of Directors, acts as a “watchdog” for the
members, conducting regular audits examining all operations
of the Credit Union, reporting the results of such audits
directly to the Board of Directors.
